Here’s the first question to ask when evaluating whether your organization is truly social:
Do you follow every member on Twitter?
No? Why not? Don’t have their Twitter address? Start asking for it on membership applications, on renewal forms, and in every email you send. Or explore services that append social info to your database. Your members want to be connected to you — they joined after all. Make following them on Twitter the first item on your new member checklist.
